What are LULA Commercial Elevators?

LULA stands for Limited Use, Limited Application elevator. In many respects they are similar to a commercial passenger elevator, but they are limited by codes to 25 feet of vertical travel, an 18 square foot cab, and 30 feet per minute travel speed. Load capacity is limited to 1400 lbs.

Why choose a LULA Elevator?

LULA elevators are designed for existing buildings and can save an owner a substantial amount over a traditional passenger elevator, both up-front and over time, with a lower cost of ownership. The advantages of installing a LULA elevator include lower overhead clearance at the upper landing, shallower pit depths, a smaller overall footprint and the ability to run on single-phase power.
